Description
World renowned as a horse trainer as well as an acrobat, Lorenzo performs a horse vaulting show, standing on eight horses ridden at a gallop and flitting above the hurdles. But he wants to go further than that and achieve a pure act, with no strain, no bits nor reins. To do so, he will have to summon up all his expertise as a horse trainer and the caring trust that connects him in the strangest way to his companions.
With his uncluttered and simple direction, Stephane Roland reveals the caring confidence that connects Lorenzo and his horses. His film was awarded the 2006 best documentary prize at Cabourg’s international equestrian film festival, and the “Stylo d’Or” for the best film of the year by the French Equestrian press Association, during the equestrian exhibition of Paris.
In between training sessions and long horseback rides in the Camargue marshlands, we share the life of a secret man and a hard worker. From the Camargue to Stockholm, through Oman, this intimate, personal and lyrical documentary makes us share the quest of an outstanding equestrian artist : freedom.
